Professional therapeutic support for young people's emotional wellbeing
I provide compassionate counselling for adolescents and young people aged 13-25, offering a safe space to work through their challenges. This stage of life brings significant changes and therefore it is not uncommon for young people to experience periods of low mood and self esteem, and anxiety.
The journey through adolescence into young adulthood can be shaped by specific and holistic challenges; social, academic and starting career pressures, hormonal changes, developing sexuality, making important decisions and shifting family dynamics, all while young people are navigating growing independence and establishing their identity.
Early intervention through counselling therapy helps young people address emotional and behavioural challenges before they become entrenched. Specifically trained to integrate different approaches, I combine therapeutic models to meet individual needs and respond to changing concerns as therapy progresses.
I offer wider support to family members and carers to strengthen relationships; sharing knowledge and practical strategies to extend the benefits of therapy beyond the sessions into everyday life.
"During these years, life can feel intense and overwhelming, but families don't have to face these difficulties alone. With the right support, they can navigate challenges together with understanding and resilience"

Something to reflect on.....
Intro...
I am qualified with an MSc in Integrative Counselling for Children and Young People, and a member of the BACP. My practice is rooted in integrating approaches such as CBT and Person Centered to recognise each person’s unique needs, goals and pace, believing this flexibility is key to meaningful progress.
Through my experience as a teacher, a mum, and a counsellor, I have learned to place compassion and understanding at the heart of my work. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where young people feel heard, respected and empowered to explore their challenges.
I describe therapy as a collaborative journey where we explore pathways that feel blocked or overwhelming, making them feel clearer and manageable so that you can move forward. My aim is that you leave therapy feeling confident in coping with everyday challenges, able to appreciate positive moments, and self-supported to live in a way that feels authentic, comfortable, and right for you.

Individual Therapy
I offer individual weekly 50 minute therapy sessions where clients can explore personal challenges, emotions, and goals in a confidential space. The room is spacious and has a garden view to allow moments of silence and reflection to feel natural. If finding time after school or work is difficult, I am happy to visit you in school or in the work place, with their permission.

Family Involvement
Family and carer involvement in therapy is welcome with the young person's permission, and when I feel it will be helpful in supporting their progress. There are times when inviting others to be part of the therapeutic approach helps navigate complex family dynamics and improve communication, fostering understanding and connection among all the people involved in the young person's life.
